More Rain for 3 Days in Telugu States, IMD Issues Yellow Alert


For the past two days, heavy rains have been lashing the Telugu states, flooding low-lying areas. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has now issued a fresh alert, predicting that these heavy rains will continue for another three days. The weather center has attributed these rains to a cyclonic circulation and expects moderate to heavy rains to persist until the 22nd of this month.

In Telangana, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for seven districts, including Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Gadwal, Narayanpet, Vikarabad, and Sangareddy, predicting heavy rains accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 km/h.

Similarly, Andhra Pradesh is also experiencing heavy rainfall. The IMD has issued a rain alert for several districts.

On Saturday, light to moderate rains are expected in parts of Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Palnadu, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, and Sri Sathya Sai districts. Additionally, light rains are expected in parts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Bapatla, Prakasam, Nellore, YSR, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati districts.
