#ModiHitsBack: PM Lashes Out at Opposition in Parliament


The 18th Lok Sabha's first session saw a heated exchange as Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Parliament during the motion of thanks on the President’s speech. The opposition parties repeatedly interrupted Modi’s speech, drawing the ire of Speaker Om Birla, who condemned their behavior as unbecoming. The opposition demanded a discussion on the Manipur issue, but Modi focused on the goals of a developed India, as outlined in the President’s address.

Modi expressed his dissatisfaction with the opposition’s conduct, stating that despite their numerous false claims, they could not avoid defeat. He highlighted that his government’s track record had lifted 250 million people out of poverty in the last decade and boosted India’s reputation globally. Modi continued his speech amidst the protests, emphasizing the 'Nation First' mantra and a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. He sought the blessings of the people for a developed India, noting the public’s trust in his government.

Andhra Pradesh: NDA’s Clean Sweep

During his speech, Modi mentioned Andhra Pradesh, recalling the NDA’s overwhelming victory in the general elections there. He asserted that the NDA had gained immense love and support from people across various regions of the country.

Despite the ongoing chaos in the Lok Sabha, Modi persisted, recalling the numerous scams and corruption cases before 2014, which had led to widespread despair. He pointed out that previous governments had been marred by corruption, with scams amounting to 85 paise out of every rupee. Modi claimed that such issues had become a thing of the past under his leadership, with significant improvements in governance and a successful crackdown on terrorism.
