🌍 Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the country's longest cable-stayed bridge at Dwarka in Gujarat. It is 2.3 km long and named Sudarshan Setu. It connects Okha area with Bet Dwarka.
It is very beneficial for pilgrims visiting Dwarkadish temple. It was built at a total cost of Rs.979 crores. In October 2017, Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of this bridge. The bridge is built in four rows with a total width of 27.20 meters and has a 2.5 meter wide footpath. Bhagavad Gita verses and images of Lord Krishna are placed on both sides. Solar panels will be installed at many places on this bridge and one megawatt of electricity will be generated. Okha port is about 30 km from Dwarka town. The Prime Minister will offer prayers at the Dwarkadish Temple on Bet Dwarka Island here. 🙏
