Minister Tummala says Farmer loan waiver for Rs 2 lakhs will be implemented soon

At this time Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao responded. The minister announced that procedures are being drawn up regarding the loan waiver of Rs.2 lakhs. It has been revealed that they are working with RBI and banks to design the procedures to implement the loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh for the farmers at once. Earlier, CM Revanth gave clarity on this. It was explained that a special corporation will be set up and the loan will be collected from the banks and the farmers will be waived first and then the corporation will repay the bank. He explained that now the procedures are being finalized regarding the implementation of this process. As the current election code is in place...it has been clarified that these guidelines will be officially announced after the elections. Regarding the 2023-24 Yasangi, Minister Tummala revealed that Rythubandhu funds have been released to 64,75,819 farmers as of Friday. So far, 92.68 percent of the funds have been deposited in the bank accounts of rice donors. However, the Minister explained that during the previous government's tenure, Rythu Bandhu funds were not disbursed in less than 3 months. In the 2018-19 rainy season, it took 4 months and 5 days.. It was said that it took 5 months and 11 days in Yasangi in the same year.
