In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Hyderabad police have seized a large quantity of drugs in the Boinpally area. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and recovered 8.5 kilograms of amphetamine, a drug with an estimated street value of ₹8.5 crores. Three individuals were arrested during the operation, and the authorities also seized a car and three mobile phones from them.
In a separate incident, another major drug bust took place in Rajendranagar, where the police confiscated 50 grams of MDMA and 25 grams of cocaine. These drugs were reportedly smuggled from Bengaluru and were being sold in Hyderabad. A Nigerian woman was among those arrested in this operation, while four other suspects managed to escape. It is believed that a couple, along with three others, was involved in the distribution of these drugs.
The Hyderabad police are continuing their investigations to track down the remaining suspects and curb the drug trade in the city.
