For the past few days, the Telugu states have been experiencing heavy rains, turning some areas into rivers and disrupting daily life. The Meteorological Department has announced that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will see light to heavy rains in some districts over the next 24 hours. The low pressure area, centered over southern Chhattisgarh and surrounding Vidarbha, extends up to 5.8 km above sea level and is causing cyclonic circulation towards the southwest direction. Additionally, a low-pressure system is expected to form in the west-central northwest Bay of Bengal on July 19th, leading to light to heavy rains with wind speeds of 30 to 40 km/h.
