There is no feeling of watching a remake of a Malayalam movie. Due to the care taken by the director-writers from accent and language to the choice of actors, it feels like watching a new movie. It is natural for those who have seen 'Nayattu' to have some complaints. But... majority of the audience who have not seen that movie will like 'Kota Bommali'.
Director Teja Marni has the experience of making 'Johar' which has a political theme. The political scenes in 'Kota Bommali PS' were well dealt with. The line is not crossed when it comes to showing political leaders. First off is racy. After the interval the speed slows down a bit in coming emotional moments too. Some emotions seem regular as they are taken out of the story. But... the suspense was maintained till the climax. What happens next? This is a thriller to watch. The songs did not hinder the story. Background music is good. Camera work & production values are also good.

Ramakrishna's character in the beginning of the movie is a simple constable type. He also acted naturally. The way the story goes forward, Koladi's heroism is elevated. Also, his performance! As a father, the scene about the daughter in the flagship scenes is tear-jerking. Srikanth is the original hero of this story. Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar is the anti-hero. Because she cannot be called a villain! By maintaining a kind of laughter and body language, he made the audience curious about the story. 'Kota Bommali PS' is a slow poison.
