🏥 Key verdict of High Court in replacement of medical seats 🏥

It is known that Kaloji Narayana Rao Health University is conducting counseling for filling MBBS and BDS seats in Telangana state for the academic year 2023-24. 🎓🏛️

In this context, the High Court has issued a key decision. ⚖️ The State High Court has made it clear that students who are permanent residents should be treated as locals. 👨‍⚖️👩‍⚖️ 3(GGG)(B) of Telangana Medical and Dental Colleges Admission 2017 rules, students should have studied for four years in Telangana before NEET exam to be considered local. 📚🎓 This provision was wronged by the High Court.

It was held to be violative of Article 14 of the Constitution. 🚫 It is reminded that the Supreme Court has also given orders in many cases in the past rejecting such cases. ✍️ Rule 3 (GGG)(B) is not applicable to students who are permanent residents of Telangana. 📜📚 But this provision cannot be completely removed. ⚠️ The petitioners in this case say that they are permanent residents of Telangana. 📜🏠 Hence it directed the varsity to allot seats in local quota based on merit if they provide any certificate issued by Govt. 📜🎓
