MLC Kavitha, currently lodged in Tihar Jail, has withdrawn her bail petition in a significant development. Her brother, KTR, and Harish Rao, visited her in jail. Kavitha had filed for default bail in the CBI case, but she has now retracted her petition from the Rouse Avenue Court.
Kavitha's lawyer requested a postponement of the hearing due to the unavailability of a senior advocate. However, Kavitha may soon approach the Supreme Court for bail. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested her on March 15, and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on April 11, in connection with the liquor scam case.
