"Kavita's Letter from Tihar Jail Raises Concerns"

In the midst of the ongoing liquor scam investigation, Delhi's political landscape has been shaken once more. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal faced another setback as the High Court upheld his arrest, reinforcing the principle that everyone stands equal before the law. Meanwhile, Kejriwal's legal team is gearing up to appeal to the Supreme Court following the High Court's dismissal of his petition against his arrest and custody. The Enforcement Directorate arrested Kejriwal on March 21, alleging his significant involvement in the liquor scam, claiming to have substantial evidence.

On another note, the judicial custody of MLC Kavita has been extended by the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court, responding positively to the ED's request to extend her remand. The court has decided to extend her judicial custody by another 14 days, until April 23. Amid these developments, a letter penned by Kavita from Tihar Jail has sparked widespread discussion. In her letter, she intended to convey the points she wanted to make in court, expressing anguish over the political and personal damage she alleges has been inflicted upon her reputation through this case. She detailed her cooperation with the investigations, including her attendance at all inquiries and the submission of her bank details.

Kavita accused the investigating agency of falsely alleging that she destroyed her phones, asserting that she handed over all her devices. She voiced her frustration that 95% of the cases target opposition leaders, hinting at a bias that seemingly vanishes if one joins the BJP. Kavita's letter reiterates her willingness to cooperate with the investigation, seeking fairness and justice in the process.
