The Dog Temple was built in 2010 by a wealthy businessman named Ramesh. He also constructed the famous Kempamma Temple in the village. According to local legend, two dogs from the village went missing. Days later, the goddess Kempamma appeared in a villager's dream, instructing them to build a temple for the lost dogs to protect the village and its people.
Following the divine command, the temple was built, and the missing dogs are worshipped here. Inside, two dog statues are revered, and villagers believe these divine dogs protect them from negative energies. An annual grand festival is held to honor these guardian dogs.
