#KalkiMovie: Why Krishna's Face Remained Hidden 🧐

The pan-India superstar Prabhas' movie 'Kalki 2898 AD' has been creating waves since its release last week, already grossing over ₹500 crores. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this film starts with the end of the Kurukshetra war and concludes with the end of Kaliyuga. Some Mahabharata characters like Arjuna, Karna, Ashwatthama, and Krishna have pivotal roles in the movie. However, one mystery that caught everyone's attention was the decision to not show Krishna's face. 🤔

Right at the beginning of 'Kalki 2898 AD', Krishna is introduced. But intriguingly, his face is never revealed. Even in two other scenes where Krishna appears, his face remains obscured by a light shining from behind him. Despite this, Krishna's character received significant acclaim, with the voice-over for these scenes captivating the audience.

Recently, director Nag Ashwin explained in an interview the reason behind this creative choice. He shared that the initial idea was always to portray Krishna in a shadow or image model without showing his face. The intention was to avoid making Krishna appear as just another actor. Nag Ashwin said, "We wanted to depict Krishna in a darker form without revealing his face. We plan to continue this portrayal without showing his face, as we worship Krishna as an extraordinary being in our hearts."

Nag Ashwin also revealed that Krishna's character would feature in the second part of 'Kalki 2898 AD' but, again, his face would remain hidden. Tamil actor Krishna Kumar portrayed Krishna, and despite his face not being shown, his demeanor and movements captured everyone's attention. The voice-over for this role was provided by popular Kollywood hero artist Arjun Das. 🎭
