#JammuKashmirElections: NC-Congress Alliance in the Works for Assembly Polls šŸ¤šŸ—³ļø

In a significant political development, the National Conference (NC)Ā and CongressĀ are reportedly planning to contest the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections together. Sources reveal that both parties are engaged in discussions to finalize seat-sharing arrangements and strategies to include like-minded parties in their coalition.

The Congress party, energized by recent developments, has gained momentum in the region. Notably, former Jammu and Kashmir minister Taj Mohiuddin, who was previously with the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), has rejoined Congress. He stated that despite leaving the party for some time, he has always considered himself a part of Congress and intends to bring back other leaders, including Ghulam Nabi Azad, to the party.

The Election Commission has announced that Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will take place on September 18, September 25, and October 1, with the counting of votes starting on October 4. The elections will be conducted in three phases: the first phase will cover 24 seats, the second phase 26 seats, and the third phase 40 seats. This is the first Assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir since the last one held in five phases during November-December 2014.

This alliance could potentially reshape the political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir, as both parties aim to leverage their combined strength to secure a significant victory in the region.
