Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha lashed out at YSRCP leaders, blaming them for the floods in Vijayawada and accusing them of trying to sabotage the state government. She criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that he had come out twice and spread false accusations against the current government. Anitha alleged that Jagan and YSRCP leaders attempted to disturb and destroy the Prakasam Barrage, which was already surrounded by floodwaters.
Speaking at a press conference in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, Home Minister Anitha claimed that irrigation officials themselves revealed that boats were left to cause destruction in Andhra Pradesh. She expressed concern that if the boats had collided with pillars, thousands of lives could have been lost.
Anitha questioned how the boats from Uddandarayunipalem ended up at the Prakasam Barrage and why no one had complained about the missing boats until now. She accused YSRCP leaders, including Nandigama Suresh and Talasila Raghuram’s followers, of orchestrating these conspiracies. She cited this as an example that leaders with a criminal mindset do not think about the welfare of the people. She also criticized Jagan Reddy for his actions during a crisis, calling it cruel to try and create problems for people during such a time.
Anitha further pointed out that even though the YSRCP received only 11 seats in the general elections, Jagan still has not learned his lesson. She demanded that a sedition case be filed against Jagan Mohan Reddy, claiming he has no right to roam freely in society.
