On Saturday, a grand audio launch event was held in Chennai, where Shankar reminisced about the past. He shared that 28 years ago, when he narrated the story of "Indian," Kamal Haasan was committed to working with Sivaji Ganesan. Interestingly, Shankar's story was similar to one Sivaji Ganesan had in mind. Kamal, respecting Sivaji Ganesan's suggestion, decided to work with Shankar, resulting in the blockbuster "Indian."
Kamal Haasan also expressed his joy at working on the sequel after so many years. He recalled how he had asked Shankar for a sequel back then, but Shankar had no story at the time. Now, after all these years, they are thrilled to bring "Indian 2" to the audience. š
