#IndiaAlliance Master Plan for Deputy Speaker

The opposition parties in India have crafted a master plan to secure the Deputy Speaker position in the Lok Sabha. The TMC (Trinamool Congress) leader Mamata Banerjee has proposed the name of Faizabad MP Avadhesh Prasad for the role. The NDA (National Democratic Alliance) already holds the Speaker position and aims to claim the Deputy Speaker role too. This has prompted the INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) to be on high alert.

The Samajwadi Party's Avadhesh Prasad, who won from Faizabad, has been put forward by Mamata Banerjee for the Deputy Speaker role. Avadhesh Prasad gained significant recognition after winning from Faizabad, a constituency known for the construction of the Ram Mandir. Despite the BJP's efforts in the area, they were defeated by Avadhesh in the elections held a few months after the temple's construction, causing a stir.

Since the 17th Lok Sabha began, the Deputy Speaker position has been vacant, with the central government yet to release a schedule for the election. The NDA government has not shown interest in giving this role to the opposition. However, it appears that this time, the BJP might offer the Deputy Speaker position to its allies. In this context, the proposal by Mamata Banerjee to appoint Dalit leader Avadhesh Prasad from Faizabad is noteworthy. Avadhesh defeated BJP's Lallu Singh by over 50,000 votes, highlighting that even with the Ram Mandir, the BJP did not gain the people's favor.
