The reason is the effect of Telangana election on cricket. Telangana election polling will end on November 30. After that, the election results will be announced on December 3. But after the end of the World Cup, T20 matches will be held between India and Australia.
Before the ODI World Cup, Australia played 3 ODI matches against Team India. Both the boards have decided to organize five T20 matches between the two teams after the World Cup. With this, immediately after the World Cup, Team India will play five T20 matches against the Australian team. The World Cup final match will be held on 19th of this month. After the World Cup, India will prepare for the T20 series with Aussies. Out of five T20 matches, the first T20 match will be played in Vizag on November 23. However, the BCCI has announced the schedule for the fifth T-20 on December 3 at Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad. However, in view of Telangana election counting on the same date, the police will have to be present at all the counting centers. With this, the Rachakonda police have already made it clear to the BCCI that they cannot commit to the final T20 match between India and Australia. Although there is no statement from BCCI yet, the police have clarified that they cannot provide security. We have to wait and see what decision BCCI takes on this.
