INDIA : India has recorded 12,193 new cases of COVID-19 and 42 more fatalities, according to recent reports. With the addition of these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 infections in India has risen to over 3.33 crore, while the total number of fatalities stands at over 4.44 lakh. The country has been making steady progress in its vaccination campaign, with over 95.7 crore doses administered so far. However, concerns remain over the emergence of new variants and the need for continued vigilance to prevent the spread of the virus.
