Daily Covid-19 cases in India have declined with 7,533 new infections reported in the last 24 hours. In the last few days, the cases have decreased in the country. Additionally, India also reported 20,265 recoveries and 154 deaths in the last 24 hours. Despite the drop in daily cases, India remains the second worst affected country in the world with over 2.5 crore infections in terms of total Covid-19 cases.
Cases now account for 0.12 percent of total infections, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.69 percent, the ministry said.
The number of recoveries rose to 4,43,47,024 and the case fatality rate was 1.18 percent. According to the ministry's website, 220.66 crore Covid vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
