IND vs SA, 3rd T20I HIGHLIGHTS: Suryakumar, Kuldeep headline India’s series-levelling win agains🏏🏆

India vs South Africa, 3rd T20I HIGHLIGHTS: India beat South Africa by 106 runs in the final match after a comprehensive performance by the team. Suryakumar Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav shined for the visitors.

Suryakumar Yadav produced a scintillating record-equalling century and Kuldeep Yadav claimed a sensational fifer as India beat South Africa by 106 runs in the final match to level the series 1-1. The bowlers shined bright for the visitors as the hosts were bundled out for a paltry 95 runs in 13.5 overs. Apart from Kuldeep, Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets for India while Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar took chipped in with a wicket each. Kuldeep became the first Indian spinner to claim five-wicket haul twice in the T20I history.

For the Proteas, David Miller was the only notable contributor with 35 runs as the Indian bowlers rattled the South African batters completely. South Africa stitched a-33 run partnership after the fourth wicket fell, which gave some hope of a tough contest. But after that, their batting- order, which lacked character in the match, started to collapse like a pack of cards. Skipper Aiden Markram added 25 runs to the entire total. Rest of the batters could not show up against the superior Indian bowling. Apart from the skipper and Miller, almost none other batter could take his score into the double digits.

Earlier, Suryakumar hit a magnificent century powering India to a mammoth 201 for 7 against the hosts on Thursday. Trailing 0-1 in the series after the first match was washed out and the second encounter being taken by South Africa, Team India were hungry for a win before the ODI series. Suryakumar (100 off 56 balls) and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (60 off 41 balls) produced some sparkling shot play on the ground, adding 112 runs for the third wicket. India were quickly off the mark with Shubman Gill (8) and Jaiswal adding 29 runs in just 2.2 overs. But spinner Keshav Maharaj hit back after back-to-back strikes.

Maharaj claimed two wickets in two balls to get rid of Gill and Tilak Varma as India’s momentum was curtailed momentarily. Jaiswal and Suryakumar took India to 62 for 2 and kit followed another slow phase where the duo added just 25 runs in the next four overs as the Men in Blue reached 87 for two at the half-way mark. Williams and Maharaj took two wickets apiece for the hosts while Tabraiz Shamsi and Nandre Burger also claimed a wicket each.
