The expressway will reduce the travel time between Dwarka and Manesar to 15 minutes.Also, the distance between Manesar and Indira Gandhi International Airport can be reduced in 20 minutes.
Singhu border can be reached in just 45 minutes from Manesar.
Two lakh tonnes of steel was used in the construction of the Dwarka Express.
In addition it took 30 times more steel than to build the Eiffel Tower in Paris, six times more cement concrete was used to build the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Also 20 lakh cubic meters of cement concrete was used.
About 1,200 trees removed during construction have been replanted elsewhere.
The expressway starts at the 20-km mark of NH 48 (old NH 8) at Shiv-Murti in Mahipalpur, Delhi.
Starts at Shiv-Murti in Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and ends at Kherki Daula Toll Plaza in Sector 21, Delhi.
It is the national capital to facilitate traffic on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway. An alternative road link between Gurugram is planned.
