Ileana's Tollywood Journey: Missed First Movie Opportunity with Nithiin!

In the bustling world of Tollywood cinema, the way heroines are perceived has transformed significantly over the years. Among these trendsetting actresses is Ileana D'Cruz, who became a star heroine in Telugu cinema following her blockbuster success with Mahesh Babu in "Pokiri." Ileana set a new benchmark by becoming the first heroine to charge a remuneration of one crore rupees at that time.

However, her entry into Telugu films was marked by the hit movie "Devadasu," where she starred alongside young hero Ram Pothineni under the direction of Y.V.S. Chowdary. But what many don't know is that Ileana was supposed to debut with another young hero, Nithiin. She was originally cast in the film "Dhairyam," directed by Teja, featuring Nithiin. She even auditioned for the role and had allocated dates for three months.

Due to several reasons, Ileana had to withdraw from "Dhairyam," which eventually released in 2005. Following this, she made her actual debut with "Devadasu" in 2006, which was a significant hit. Post this success, Ileana's fame soared to new heights, particularly after the massive success of "Pokiri."
