Reflecting on his journey from Gangotri to Pushpa, Allu Arjun acknowledged that his success was not easy and came with its share of struggles, dedication, and challenges.
The Surprising Encounter with Rajinikanth
During an event, Allu Arjun recalled an incident that left a lasting impression on him. After delivering a blockbuster with Arya, directed by Sukumar, Allu Arjun experienced a phase of self-doubt, wondering if he was being recognized in the industry despite his success with movies like Bunny and Happy.
He shared, "Once, I went to Chennai with Sukumar while Robo was being shot, with Rajinikanth and Shankar at the helm. The cinematographer for Robo, Ratnavelu, had also worked on Arya. Though I wanted to meet Rajinikanth, I hesitated, thinking why should I introduce myself as Allu Aravind's son. But then, someone came and informed us that Rajinikanth wanted to see us."
Allu Arjun and Sukumar were invited to meet the superstar. "I was unsure if Rajinikanth even knew I was acting in movies, but to my surprise, he said, 'You're doing well in films, young man. You have a strong fan following, especially among the ladies. You've earned great fame with just a few films.' Hearing these words from someone who is an epitome of style and craze like Rajinikanth left me completely shocked and filled with an indescribable joy," Allu Arjun shared.
