The Telangana government has made the Yadadri shrine magnificent. Due to this, every day thousands of devotees visit Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and pay their respects. It is estimated that ten thousand devotees from the city go to this shrine, which is a stone's throw away from the state capital.
It has always been said that travel expenses will also come down. The Central Railway Department is ready to run MMTS trains from Hyderabad to Yadadri as per the demand of devotees. Currently, the second phase of MMTS is going on in full swing. South Central Railway officials aim to complete the works by the end of this year. A decision was taken six years ago to extend the trains to Rayagiri (Yadadri) station. While there are trains from Maulali to Ghatkesar, South Central Railway has suggested that a new third line should be laid from there to Yadadri. But due to the delay in the tender process, this project did not take off. Recently Union Minister Kishan Reddy made a key announcement regarding the running of Yadadri MMTS trains. Central Govt for the second phase of MMTS. He said that 330 crores of funds are being spent. He said that the Center has given its approval to complete the Ghatkesar-Rayagiri railway line. He disclosed that the entire cost for this will be borne by the Centre. Officials are working with the aim of completing the second phase of MMTS by the end of this year. Two new lines have already been made available for a distance of 21 kilometers from Maulali to Ghatkesar. If the new line is laid for another 35 kilometers, it will be possible to go to Yadadri from Hyderabad with a ticket of just Rs.20. Yadadri can be reached within 40 minutes without avoiding the traffic problems in the city. ✨🚆
