Hyderabad Soaked Unrelenting Rain Pounds the City, No Respite Yet!


Hyderabad residents, already reeling from scorching temperatures, found no relief as heavy rains pounded the city on Tuesday evening. Starting around 5:30 PM and continuing past midnight, the downpour accompanied by gusty winds threw the city into disarray. Office-goers, hoping for a reprieve from the heat, faced unexpected hardships as they attempted to navigate their way home, battling against the relentless rain and severe traffic jams.

Areas like Miyapur, KPHB, Chandanagar, Bachupally, Secunderabad, Yousufguda, and more witnessed rainfall ranging from 7 to 14 cm, creating havoc on the streets. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Hyderabad, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning for today and tomorrow. Wind speeds might reach up to 40 km/hr, indicating no immediate end to the stormy conditions. This yellow alert extends to six zones including Charminar, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Serilingampally, suggesting widespread impact.
