Hyderabad: Rain hits BRS campaign, KCR meeting on Saturday cancelled🗳️🌧️

The BRS party cancelled its public meeting in Hyderabad scheduled on November 25 at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad which was to be addressed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The meeting was aimed at the Chief Minister focusing on Assembly constituencies under Hyderabad and Secunderabad constituencies.

The party announced that the decision to cancel the meeting was taken in view of the inclement weather and forecast of rains for the next two to three days. The meeting on Saturday was the only event that was scheduled for the Chief Minister in the twin cities.While other political parties appeared to have going ahead, at least for now, with their campaign plans, the Met office said more rains are in store for the next two days in Hyderabad and other parts of the state. Overnight, rains continued to lash the city. While Hyderabad received about 10 mm of rainfall until the early hours of Friday, Bhadradri Kothagudem received 20mm, Kumaram Bheem received 6.5mm, followed by Nirmal, Suryapet and Vikarabad districts, according to Telangana State Development Planning Society data.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department - Hyderabad (IMD-H) said that light to moderate rain and thunderstorm is very likely to occur at isolated places over Hyderabad, Jangaon, Karimnagar, Medak, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Y. Bhuvanagiri. IMD said it could impact minor damage to loose or unsecured structures and advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places accordingly.

According to weather experts, rainfall activity is to further spread to northern parts of the state on Friday and is likely to reduce from Saturday.🗳️🌧️
