Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to provide free electricity to one crore citizens of the country. The decision was approved by the Union Cabinet. The name of this scheme is 'PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijili Yojana'. In this scheme, 300 units of electricity will be provided free of cost. Union Minister Anurag Thakur revealed that the Modi government will spend Rs.75,021 crore to provide free electricity to one crore people in the country.

After the Union Cabinet meeting, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that there is a plan to set up solar power plants on the roof (roof top solar). For this scheme, 300 units of free electricity per month will be provided to crore families. Each family will get subsidy of Rs.30,000 for one kilowatt capacity plant and Rs.60,000 for two kilowatt capacity plant. Rs.78000 subsidy is available for 3 kilowatts. Those who install solar power plants on their houses will get 300 units of free electricity every month.
Loans at low interest rates 📊📉 A low interest loan is available for installing roof top solar. It pays only 0.5% interest above the repo rate. 18000 per kilowatt will be given as subsidy to housing societies for 500 kilowatts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the scheme on February 13.
Apply like this 📑💻 Go to the official website of the scheme https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in and select the option for Rooftop Solar. Select your state, electricity distribution company name. Then enter your customer number, mobile number, email. Login by entering customer number, mobile number on new page. Fill the complete details there. After this process you will get feasibility approval. After that any vendor registered with the discom can install the plant. Apply for net meter by providing your details to the solar panel installation. 🌞🌱
