How Much Salary Pawan Kalyan Will Get As MLA

JanaSena Party, led by Pawan Kalyan, has achieved an incredible feat by winning all 21 Assembly and 2 Parliament seats it contested in the recent elections. With this landslide victory, Pawan Kalyan is set to serve as the Deputy Chief Minister and a minister in the new government. In a recent statement, Pawan Kalyan mentioned that he would take his full salary as an MLA, emphasizing that it keeps him accountable to the people, ensuring he remains aware that he is utilizing public funds. Let's explore how much salary and allowances MLAs receive in Andhra Pradesh.

Currently, an MLA in Andhra Pradesh receives around ₹1.25 lakhs per month. Due to the unavailability of MLA quarters, an additional ₹50,000 is provided as House Rent Allowance (HRA). Besides these, MLAs receive sitting allowances and telephone facilities. Higher-ranking officials like the Chief Minister, Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Council Chairman, Council Deputy Chairman, Government Chief Whip, Whips, PAC Chairman, and Leader of the Opposition receive higher salaries and allowances.

These amounts can vary by state depending on the financial conditions. Former MLAs also receive pensions, medical, and travel facilities, and in the event of their death, their spouses are granted pensions. Telangana, in particular, offers the highest salary to MLAs in the country, with each MLA earning up to ₹2.5 lakhs per month.

With Pawan Kalyan’s commitment to taking his full salary, he is expected to receive around ₹1.75 lakhs per month. As Deputy Chief Minister and Minister, he will also have access to additional allowances and facilities.
