The police have announced high alert in the national capital Delhi. Farmers' Chalo Delhi program has been blocked in the background. Strict arrangements were made to break the farmers' dharna. Farmers say no to the movement as the talks with the Union Ministers failed. 20,000 farmers across the country along with three states in the north have taken up Chalo Delhi. Chalo Delhi is envisioning the farmers' movement of 2021. The police have taken precautionary measures to prevent further tension.
Farmers are demanding assurance of minimum support price for the crop. Also, the farmers took out protest programs demanding implementation of recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, waiver of crop loans, provision of pension facility to farmers and farm laborers, cases against farmers who fought against black laws.
However, the group of Union Ministers agreed to withdraw the cases against the farmers.
