#HeroineKiProblemMeeKu: Harish Shankar Hits Back at Age Gap Critics

Director Harish Shankar has responded to the ongoing discussions and criticisms regarding the age gap between actors Ravi Teja and Bhagyashree Borase in the upcoming film "Mr. Bachchan". The film's trailer was released recently and has garnered significant attention, but it also sparked debates about the apparent age difference between the lead pair.

For a long time, the film industry has seen debates about age gaps between hero and heroine pairs. The recent film Dhamaka, starring Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, faced similar criticisms. However, once the movie was released and became a blockbuster, the chemistry between the lead actors was praised, and the initial negative comments faded away.

In response to the critics of "Mr. Bachchan", Harish Shankar stated that both Ravi Teja and Bhagyashree Borase are simply portraying roles in a fictional film, and viewers should focus on the characters rather than the actors' real ages. He emphasized that age gaps in films are not a new phenomenon and have been present in numerous successful movies in the past.

He also mentioned that this concept, known as "screen age", allows actors to portray characters of various ages, regardless of their actual age. Shankar cited legendary actor N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) and Sridevi, who worked together in many hit films despite their age difference.

Shankar further pointed out that if the lead actress herself has no issue with the age gap, then the audience should not be concerned either. He stated, “If the heroine doesn't have a problem, why should you?” effectively telling the critics to focus on the film's content and performances rather than irrelevant details.
