Heavy rains in Uttarakhand..Chardham trip stopped..


Due to heavy rains, the Chartham Yatra got a temporary break. The Uttarakhand government has announced that it will stop the Chartham Yatra. The Dehradun Meteorological Center has warned of heavy rains for the next three days. Badrinath, Kedarrath and Yamunotri routes were warned of landslides and the trip was temporarily suspended. Officials advised Chardham pilgrims to avoid their journeys. Badrinath highway has already been closed. It was closed due to landslides. Roads have potholes in many places. Alakananda appeared in fury near Vishnuprayag in Joshimath. Low-lying areas were flooded.

High officials conducted a review on heavy rains. Meteorological department has issued red alert for nine districts of Uttarakhand. Heavy rains are likely to occur in Garhwal region for two days. Many bridges were destroyed in Ramnagar. Due to this, traffic to many villages has stopped. Uttarakhand CM Pushkarsingh Dhami advised the collectors to be alert. Officials revealed that the Chardham Yatra will resume only after the weather improves. Lakhs of devotees visit Chardham Yatra every year. This time also many have already visited the holy places.
