'HanuMan' box office Day 4: Teja Sajja's film enters Rs 100-crore club

Teja Sajja and director Prasanth Varma's 'HanuMan' is having a great run in theatres as it raked in Rs 100 crore worldwide. According to reports, there's a crazy demand for tickets for the film following positive reviews.

Telugu actor Teja Sajja and director Prasanth Varma's recently released 'HanuMan' is doing great business at the box office. The film surpassed Rs 50-crore mark in India and also entered the Rs 100-crore club worldwide. The demand for tickets from fans is crazy and theatres owners are planning to add more screens for the film. 'HanuMan' is the first film in the superhero franchise of director Prasanth Varma.

Teja Sajja's 'HanuMan' released in theatres on January 12. The film clashed with Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' in theatres.

'HanuMan' received an overwhelming response from critics and audiences alike. The demand for tickets is increasing with every passing day. The film entered the Rs 100-crore club globally and the filmmaker took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts. He wrote, "My first century in films (sic)."

On January 15, the film witnessed a slight drop in collection. Going by the early trade estimates, 'HanuMan' is said to have earned Rs 14.50 crore net in India.

The four-day total tally of 'HanuMan' now stands at Rs 55.15 crore net in India. The Telugu version of the film recorded an occupancy of 80.11 per cent in India on January 15.

Directed by Prasanth Varma' , 'HanuMan' features Teja Sajja in the titular role. The film also features Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty and Vijay Rai in pivotal roles. Set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, 'HanuMan' is the first offering in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.

At the pre-release event, chief guest Megastar Chiranjeevi announced that the makers would donate Rs 5 from each ticket to Ayodhya's Ram Mandir. In an interview with IndiaToday.in, the filmmaker revealed that they donated Rs 14 lakh to Ram Temple from the film's opening day collection.
