Inaugurating this meeting, the chairperson Mrs. Vasireddy Padma said that the laws made for the safety of women are being misused because they are not being used properly, and the governments are holding back from enacting new laws as an excuse.
He said that women have a right to their own body and it is a welcome development to register cases of rape if the husband commits sexual acts against her will. He urged the central government to effectively implement the new laws with awareness and social consciousness to protect the rights of women and prevent the marriage system from being exposed to fluctuations. Members of the Women's Commission explained the cases of violence against wives in the matter of sexual relations. The Women's Commission has expressed their opinion that there are very sensitive issues in registering cases of rape against husbands. 💬🌐
