'Guntur Kaaram' box office Day 1: Mahesh Babu's film opens at Rs 44.50 crore

Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' hit theatres on January 12. The film witnessed a grand opening as it collected Rs 44.50 crore at the domestic box office.

Mahesh Babu's much-anticipated release 'Guntur Kaaram' released in theatres on Friday, January 12. According to trade reports, the film has offered a flying start to the Telugu film industry in the new year. The early estimates of the film's first day collection are out, and the actioner has earned Rs 44.50 crore.

Helmed by Trivikram Srinivas, 'Guntur Kaaram' grossed around Rs 45 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its release day. The film had an overall 68.66% Telugu occupancy, with 74.67% in morning shows, 61.43% in the afternoon shows, and 69.89% in the evening shows.

It has also been reported that 'Guntur Kaaram' has beaten the opening collections of Allu Arjun's high-octane film 'Pushpa: The Rise' (Telugu). 'Pushpa' minted Rs 35.50 crore in APTG (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). 'Guntur Kaaram' may have crossed the opening day figures of 'Pushpa', but it could not beat Prabhas' 'Adipurush' and 'Salaar'. While the Om Raut directorial minted Rs 48.5 crore on Day 1, 'Salaar' earned Rs 67.1 crore in APTG.
