Good news for the residents of Nalgonda district..

The Central Railway Department has focused on the guarantees of division of Telugu states. As a part of this, South Central Railway has announced that it is establishing a high speed railway line from Shamshabad to Vizag via Via Vijayawada.

The Central Railway Department has focused on the guarantees of division of Telugu states. As a part of this, South Central Railway has announced that it is establishing a high speed railway line from Shamshabad to Vizag via Via Vijayawada. For this, the Railway Board has granted permission for the Preliminary Engineering and Traffic (PET) survey. The contractor on this railway line has to give a report to the South Central Railway authorities within six months. The alignment of this railway line will basically be parallel to the number 65 Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway from Shamshabad. 220 km. Railway authorities have decided to lay this line to run semi-high speed trains at high speed. This railway line will pass through the towns of Chautuppal, Chityala, Narkatpally, Suryapet and Kodada in the combined Nalgonda district.


Broad gauge line survey for Dornakal – Miryalaguda route is already in final stage. This line will reach Miryalaguda via Dornakal, Nelakondapally, Kodada and Hujurnagar. Railway authorities have made plans to make this line connecting at Jaanpahad. The Center has sanctioned another railway line of 296 km from Dornakal to Gadwal via Paleru and Suryapet. This line connecting South Telangana will be constructed from Dornakal to Gadwal via Khammam, Kusumanchi, Paleru, Mothe, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Kalvakurti, Nagar Kurnool, Vanaparthi. Additional connectivity with Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Chennai and Delhi routes will be established with these railway lines. Coal required for YTPS power plant can be easily transported from Singareni colliery.


It is very useful for transporting rice from the paraboiled rice mills in Nalgonda district which is the central point of Telangana grain warehouse to other parts of the country. Nalgonda MP Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnav and Kishan Reddy announced the proposal of this new railway line on the occasion of Telangana's Incarnation Day. He said that they are pressuring the central government to grant funds for these lines in the upcoming budget meetings. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that if all these projects are implemented, more trains and commercial transport facilities will be available to the residents of the joint district.
