In a timely boost for farmers during the Lok Sabha election campaign, the Telangana government has announced multiple good news, especially the release of the awaited Rythu Bandhu funds. The Revanth Reddy administration has already provided financial support for farmers owning up to 5 acres of land and has now extended this to include those owning more than 5 acres.
The government also responded swiftly to recent unseasonal rains and hailstorms that damaged crops by releasing compensation funds. After the Election Commission gave the green signal, the government quickly released these funds. Due to these adverse weather events, it was reported that crops across 15,814 acres were damaged, affecting 15,246 farmers. Today, each affected farmer has received Rs. 10,000 per acre as part of the compensation package.
This relief was highly anticipated and has brought considerable joy among the farmers. On one hand, they received investment funds for the next crop cycle, and almost immediately, they also received compensation for their losses. Farmers are now expressing relief and joy, hopeful that this financial support will help clear their debts and support their next agricultural ventures.
