'Gabbar Singh' is Not Just a Film, It's History! - Harish Shankar 🎬

"Gabbar Singh," one of the biggest blockbusters in Pawan Kalyan's career, directed by Harish Shankar, is considered a milestone in Telugu cinema. Released in 2012, this film was a remake of Salman Khan's "Dabangg," but Harish Shankar made it uniquely his own with his distinct style. The movie became a massive hit, solidifying Pawan Kalyan's status as a superstar, and fans still remember his iconic swag in the film. To celebrate Pawan Kalyan's birthday, the makers are re-releasing "Gabbar Singh" on September 2.

During a recent press meet for the re-release, director Harish Shankar spoke passionately about the film, stating, "Gabbar Singh is not just a film in history; it is history itself. There's no doubt about it. This film changed my life and the life of producer Bandla Ganesh. When we were making the movie, we didn't anticipate it would become such a huge hit, but it exceeded all our expectations."

Harish also mentioned that if "Gabbar Singh" had been released in today's era of social media and digital revolution, it would have been an even bigger hit, potentially reaching pan-India success. He expressed his gratitude to the entire team for reigniting his enthusiasm with the re-release. He added, "There’s a famous line on social media - if a film is good, it’s a super hit. If it’s a super hit, it’s a blockbuster. But if it surpasses a blockbuster, it's called 'Gabbar Singh'."

Harish concluded by recalling how Pawan Kalyan, the film's first critic, predicted it would be a blockbuster during the dubbing phase. Harish confidently declared, "Gabbar Singh is an evergreen movie."
