Hey there! Big news in Telangana politics! Former Chief Minister and BRS leader KCR has been issued a notice by Justice Narasimha Reddy regarding power purchases from Chhattisgarh. The notice seeks KCR's explanation about his role in the power agreements. He has been asked to provide this explanation by the end of this month.
However, KCR has requested an extension until July 30 to respond. Justice Narasimha Reddy mentioned that notices have been issued to a total of 25 people so far, all of whom have provided their explanations. He stated that if the explanations are not satisfactory, those individuals will be required to appear for further inquiries.
Justice Narasimha Reddy is also investigating allegations of irregularities in the construction of thermal plants and the agreements made by Chhattisgarh power distribution companies. The Telangana government had set up a commission for this investigation and appointed Justice Narasimha Reddy as the chairman. He has already conducted reviews with the officials of the power department.
