This drastic loss also cost them the opportunity to maintain the status of the main opposition party. Reacting to the analyses of the YSRCP's crushing defeat, Roja posed a poignant question: "Why should we be ashamed?" She argued that shame is only for those who lose after doing wrong, but there's no shame in losing after doing good. She called upon YSRCP workers to hold their heads high and continue to echo the voice of the people. According to Roja, this is the path forward for the YSRCP.
