šŸŒ§ļø Five Days of Heavy Rainfall in Telugu States

The weather department has issued an alert for the Telugu states, warning of heavy rainfall over the next five days. Many districts are under a yellow alert due to expected thunderstorms and heavy rains. In Andhra Pradesh, a low-pressure area near the coast is causing moderate to heavy rainfall. Districts like Prakasam, Nellore, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, Kadapa, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati are likely to see significant rainfall today, with chances of thunderstorms and lightning.

The southwest monsoon is expected to enter the southern Andaman Sea, southeastern Bay of Bengal, and Nicobar Islands by May 19. Due to weakening of the trough from southern Karnataka to eastern Vidarbha, southeastern winds are blowing over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, leading to light to moderate showers or thunderstorms in several districts. Winds could blow at speeds of 40-50 km/h.

In Telangana, the Hyderabad Meteorological Center has also warned of heavy rainfall over the next five days, with thunderstorms and moderate rainfall expected in various districts including Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Bhongir, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanapet, and Jogulamba Gadwal. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for these districts, anticipating winds at speeds of 40-50 km/h along with thunderstorms and heavy rain.
