As India gears up for the general elections, the controversy surrounding Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) flares up yet again. Multiple allegations have previously surfaced about votes defaulting to BJP regardless of the button pressed. Both the central government and the Election Commission have dismissed these claims in the past. However, a recent incident in Kasaragod, Kerala, appears to affirm these accusations.During mock polling in the Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituency, representatives from the ruling LDF, opposition UDF, and BJP were present. It was reported by local media Manorama that when buttons for LDF and UDF symbols were pressed on several EVMs, the votes were registering for BJP's lotus symbol. Both LDF and UDF agents have lodged complaints regarding this issue.
