England's Brydon Carse Banned for Betting

England and Durham fast bowler Brydon Carse has been banned from all formats of cricket for three months due to betting violations. The England Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that Carse placed 303 bets between 2017 and 2019. Following an investigation by the board's anti-corruption unit, he was handed a 16-month ban, 13 months of which are suspended. Carse will be ineligible to play cricket from May 28 to August 28, 2024. He cooperated with the investigation and accepted all charges, noting that he only bet on matches in which he was not playing.
