#EndangeredSpeciesAlert: 45,000 Species Facing Extinction 🌍💔

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has warned that 45,000 species worldwide are at risk of extinction, an increase of 1,000 from last year. Climate change, illegal hunting, deforestation, and invasive species are the primary reasons for this dire situation. IUCN has been publishing information on endangered species for the past 60 years, and despite some successes in conservation, like saving the Iberian Lynx, many species remain critically endangered. Among those at risk are unique plants like the Brahma Kamal found in the Atacama Desert in Chile, Borneo elephants, and the Gran Canaria skink. These species are facing imminent threats and require urgent conservation efforts to prevent their extinction.
