EC Shock on BJP's Religious Speeches and Congress's Constitution Remarks!

The Lok Sabha elections are heating up with major political parties, BJP and Congress, engaging in fierce accusations. BJP leaders are making religious speeches, while Congress criticizes them in the name of the Constitution. Complaints have been flooding the Election Commission (EC) to take action. Today, the EC responded, issuing crucial orders to both parties.

The EC had issued notices a month ago to BJP President JP Nadda and Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, alleging that their star campaigners violated election norms. Both parties responded to these notices. Today, the EC ordered BJP's star campaigners to stop making religious speeches. It also instructed Congress leaders to stop claiming that the Constitution can be annulled.

Complaints against Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the opposition and against Rahul Gandhi and Kharge by the ruling party led the EC to send notices to BJP and Congress presidents on April 25. However, the EC did not specifically mention Modi or Gandhi, referring to them only as star campaigners in the notices. The EC emphasized that both parties must ensure their star campaigners do not violate election norms.

The EC noted that the responses from both parties to the previous notices were unsatisfactory as they defended their star campaigners. The EC reminded them of the multiple code violations reported since April 25, stating that their star campaigners have continued to make controversial statements.
