Earthquake Hits New York City Region..

An earthquake occurred in the New York City region of the United States on Friday, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The tremors, measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, did not result in any reported loss of life or property damage, according to a spokesperson for the New York Mayor. Earthquakes are exceedingly rare in New York City. Interestingly, the quake struck while a Security Council meeting on the Gaza conflict was taking place at the United Nations headquarters in New York, prompting a brief postponement of the meeting.
