Dry Days In Telangana Alcohol Shops Shut for Polling!

Attention all beer lovers and booze buddies! If you were planning to chill with a cool beer amidst the soaring temperatures, there's a temporary hiccup in your plans in Telangana. Due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on May 13th, all liquor shops and bars will be closed for two days to ensure a peaceful polling process.

Starting from the evening of May 11th at 6 PM, all alcohol outlets will shut down and will not reopen until after the polling concludes on May 13th at 6 PM. The state-wide prohibition is a precaution to prevent any unwanted incidents during this crucial time. The Excise Department has emphasized that these measures are necessary to facilitate smooth and peaceful polling.

Authorities warn that strict legal actions will be taken against anyone violating these regulations. Moreover, another closure will occur on June 4th, the day of vote counting, to curb any illegal transportation or sale of alcohol. Excise police have intensified surveillance to monitor any such activities and are urging the public to report any illegal alcohol storage or sales.
