Do Tattoos Cause Blood Cancer? šŸ¤”

Getting tattoos has become a trendy craze, especially among the youth. People are getting tattoos on their arms, faces, legs, and almost everywhere. But is getting a tattoo good for your health? Are there any side effects? This topic has been debated for a long time. Recently, a study has brought some shocking facts to light. The study suggests a possible link between tattoos and lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.

Researchers from Linnaeus University in Sweden conducted this study and revealed several surprising findings. They analyzed data from the Swedish National Cancer Register, focusing on individuals aged 20 to 60 diagnosed with lymphoma between 2007 and 2017. They then compared these individuals with a healthy group of the same age without lymphoma.

The study found that people with tattoos had a 21% higher risk of developing lymphoma compared to those without tattoos. Moreover, individuals who got tattoos in the last two years had an 81% higher risk of developing lymphoma. However, researchers emphasized the need for further studies to understand which chemicals in tattoo ink might increase the risk of lymphoma. The study does not prove that tattoos directly cause cancer but suggests a possible link.

Experts say that lymphoma is a rare cancer. They advise taking precautions when getting tattoos. Itā€™s crucial to ensure hygiene and get tattoos from professional artists using high-quality ink. Avoid getting tattoos from places offering them at cheap prices without proper safety measures.
