Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, also known as Big B, needs no introduction. He is one of the richest actors in Bollywood, ranking fourth in the Hurun India Rich List with a wealth of ₹1,600 crore! But before achieving this massive success, Big B led a very humble life. He recently shared his early life struggles on the popular show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" during its 16th episode.
After completing college, Amitabh moved to Kolkata in search of a job. Back then, his monthly salary was just ₹400, and he shared a small room with 8 other people! Big B recalled, "I moved to Kolkata after my studies, looking for a job. I got one that paid me ₹400 a month. I lived with eight others in a single room. It wasn’t surprising for me. The room had only two beds, which weren’t enough for everyone. We used to sleep on the floor, and sometimes on the bed. There used to be a fight over who gets the bed and who sleeps on the floor," reminisced Big B. These comments are now going viral!
According to the Hurun India Rich List, the richest Bollywood star is Shah Rukh Khan, with a net worth of ₹7,300 crore. His wealth increased significantly due to his ownership in Red Chillies Entertainment and his stake in the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, which won the IPL this year. Following SRK, actress Juhi Chawla is on the list with ₹4,600 crore, while Hrithik Roshan ranks third with around ₹2,000 crore. Big B secures the fourth position with his ₹1,600 crore fortune.
