Devotees Set to Witness Two Major Events at Ugadi Celebrations in Srisailam

As the district of Nandyal gears up for the Ugadi celebrations at Srisailam, officials have meticulously planned to ensure a smooth experience for the thousands of devotees expected to attend. In a recent meeting, Nandyal district ASP Praveen, temple EO Peddiraju, and other officials reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming festivities.

The main attractions, the commencement ceremony in the evening and the Veerachara Vinyasas (heroic performances) and Agnigundam (fire pit) entrance event at night, followed by the Rathotsavam (chariot festival) the next day, were thoroughly discussed. Officials emphasized the importance of taking all necessary precautions to prevent overcrowding and ensure public safety.

Preemptive measures to avoid traffic congestion were also planned. Special attention will be given to the Veerachara Vinyasas and Agnigundam events, including the provision of first aid centers and fire engines on standby. Following the meeting, EO Peddiraju, ASP Praveen, and officers inspected the sites for the commencement ceremony and Rathotsavam, instructing the installation of sturdy fences around the Agnigundam area and setting up LED screens for devotees to view the events safely.
