DCA clamp down on illegal godowns.. Rs. Fake medicines worth 20.52 lakh seized šŸš«

The Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) conducted surprise checks at several places on Thursday (January 18).

Raids were conducted on illegal godowns in Amberpet on Thursday and Friday and around Rs. Fake medicines worth 20.52 lakhs were seized. Officials found that these were stored to be sold illegally to many government hospitals in the state. MD Without Drug License Near Ali Cafe, Azadnagar, Amberpet. DCA drug inspectors raided a godown belonging to a person named Bashir Ahmed. Cardboard shipper cartons containing huge quantities of drugs were seized there.

A total of forty types of drugs including generation antibiotics, pediatric syrups, anti-ulcer drugs, analgesic drugs, antibiotic injections and antimalarial drugs were found in the raid. DCA disclosed that the name of 'Ashley Pharmatech Pvt Ltd' was found on many medicine pack labels seized from the godown. ASHLEY PHARMATECH PRIVATE LIMITED, KHASRA NO. 24, FARM HOUSE NO. 103, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi-110070 was found on them. It is also stated that the details of various manufacturers in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also available. Amoxicillin Capsules IP 500mg manufactured by Goa Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. along with Telangana government supply drugs are available in huge quantities. Azithromycin Tablets IP 500 mg manufactured by Stride Organics Pvt Ltd in Medchal district Ghatkesar was also seized. šŸ’ŠšŸ’‰
